A lawsuit was filed today against Janet Napolitano and the Transportation Security Administration alleging that the invasive airport “security” procedures instituted at President Obama’s instructions are “profane, degrading, intrusive and indecent” and are both “unreasonable and violative of the Fourth Amendment.”
The case was filed in federal court for the District of Columbia by John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute and others on behalf of two veteran pilots, Michael S. Roberts and Ann Poe.
The issue of the invasion of privacy demanded by the TSA at airport security checkpoints – passengers are given the option of an X-ray that reveals a virtually nude image for government agents to see or a hands-on-all-body-parts pat-down – has exploded in recent days.

Ever since the abortion debate burst on the American political scene in the wake of the Roe v Wade decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, women have voted more Democratic than men. Particularly unmarried women have since typically backed Democratic candidates – attracted by their pro-choice positions – by between ten and twenty points in each election.
But now the trend has stopped! In one of the most important findings in the post-election polls, the McLaughlin and Associates polling firm has found that men and women both voted for Republican candidates in the 2010 midterm elections! Pollster John McLaughlin – one of the best – noted that “The Republican candidates for Congress had a 12-point advantage among men (53-41) and a 7-point advantage among women (50-43).” This finding is historic.

Isn’t she a ray of sunshine?
We have to endure several years of Lisa Murkowski being the thorn on our side. She won her election against Joe Miller (at least for now) and instead of being gracious, she decided to take her shots at Sarah Palin and those in the Tea Party, while trying to portray herself as an “outsider” going against the beltway elements. The Associated Press gladly played along with the narrative.
In mounting the outsider run, Murkowski displayed an energy she lacked during the primary, when she let attacks on her record go unchecked and paid little attention to the Sarah Palin-backed Miller, who was making his first run for statewide office. She said she was offering Alaskans a choice between the “extremist” views of Miller and the “inexperience” of Democrat Scott McAdams, a small-town mayor…
“Well, perhaps it’s time they met one Republican woman who won’t quit on Alaska,” [Murkowski] said to cheers in September, a not-so-subtle dig on Palin’s decision to step down early as Alaska governor.
Murkowski also goes on to say that she is committed to all the people in Alaska. The only thing she was committed to was saving herself a job as senator. Instead of accepting the outcome of the primary, she had to put her own self-interest above those of the party who voted her out. She was on last night’s PBS Newshour claiming she is the one that best represents Alaska’s interests since she is no longer affiliated to a party.
