Family of Murdered Egyptian Christians On the Run Due to Muslim Terror

Not only does the news coming from the Muslim never change in its inhumanity; it just gets worse.

(AINA) — Two weeks after the murder of two Christian brothers by Muslims during the violence that swept the upper Egyptian village of el-Ghorayzat, the family of the murdered Christians has temporarily come out of hiding to speak of the terror they have been subjected to and decry the impunity enjoyed by the killers, who are walking freely in the village.

On November 28, the two Christian brothers, Kamel Tamer Abraham (55) and Camille Tamer Abraham (50), were killed in revenge for the death of the Muslim Mohamad Abdel-Nazeer, who was injured during an altercation with a village Christian over the building of a fence round the Christian’s house, and who later died in hospital. The Christian man fled from the village with his family.

Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer, the brother of the dead Muslim, and a mob of Muslims, vowed to avenge his death from all village Copts. They went on a rampage, looting and burning Christian owned homes and businesses, and resulted in the murder of the two brothers and injury to several other Christians not involved in the altercation (AINA 11-30-2011).

Karam Tamer Abraham, the brother of Kamel and Camille, said that his two murdered brothers were killed in lieu of the life of the Muslim, explaining that the Muslims asked for the lives of his two brothers because they are “the Christian elders of the village.” He said that the family is in no way related to and does not even know the Christian involved in the death of the Muslim.

AP Photo – NEW YORK –  Federal authorities blamed Lebanese financial institutions Thursday for wiring more than $300 million into the United States in a money-laundering scheme they said used the U.S. financial system to benefit the militant group Hezbollah.

The U.S. government said in the lawsuit filed in a Manhattan federal court that it seeks nearly a half-billion dollars in money-laundering penalties from some Lebanese financial entities, 30 U.S. car buyers and a U.S. shipping company. It also said it’s entitled to claim their assets as forfeitable under U.S. money-laundering laws.

Obama’s Stark Progressivism Is Unsustainable

For Progressives, the purpose of taxation is to fund an unlimited government with the power to achieve “fairness” by transferring wealth from one party to another.  The progressive tax is the instrument of choice because it makes it look like those who pay little or no taxes can benefit at the expense of “the rich.” Although this pitch may win elections, it is not sustainable because it is based on the illusion that those with high incomes and wealth do not have the power to shift the burden of taxation onto their employees or suppliers or customers.  Although Progressives insist otherwise, increasing marginal tax rates is associated with slower growth, high unemployment and a shrinking middle class.

Property rights and the enforcement of contracts are also anathema to Progressives.  In their view, expansive rules and regulations can narrow the differential of power in the workplace and among economic agents.  But, the regulatory state now threatens the middle-class.  Today, for example, banks spend more on complying with an ever more burdensome regulatory regime than they spend on making loans.  No wonder they are laying off thousands of middle-class workers as they cut other costs in order to maintain the profitability that is the pre-requisite for staying in business.
