Music superstar: ‘We’ve got a Muslim president’

[WND.com]

THE STAR TREATMENT

August 20, 2012 by Joe Kovacs

He ‘hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!’

Country-music legend Hank Williams Jr. unleashed another round of less-than-flattering words for Barack Obama, this time Friday night at the Iowa State Fair.

According to the Des Moines Register, after Williams performed the song “We Don’t Apologize For America” a chant of “USA, USA” broke out among the crowd.

The singer responded with a smile, telling the audience he was their mouthpiece and added:

“We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!”

The crowd apparently loved what it heard, responding with “loud and enthusiastic” cheers.

The Register says when reached for comment Saturday, Brad Anderson with the Obama campaign in Iowa said, “That type of absurd nonsense doesn’t really deserve a response.”

In July, Williams Jr. told Rolling Stone magazine Obama “hates America in the first place, forget about the flag.”

Last October, the music legend received massive publicity when he appeared on “Fox & Friends” and blasted a golf game between Obama and House Speaker John Boehner.

Obama’s deceptive bodyguard

Photo: AP -White House spokesman Jay Carney said Friday that he doesn’t lie.

But his office did lie on Monday for national security reasons.

On Monday evening the White House’s press office distributed a fake Tuesday schedule for the president. The deceptive document went to the White House press corps, and to the many other media outlets and non-media groups that track the president’s schedule.

“In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with Secretary of Defense [Leon] Panetta in the Oval Office,” said the 6:31 p.m. email, titled “Daily Guidance and press schedule for Tuesday, May 1, 2012.” The guidance also announced that Jay Carney, the president’s press secretary, would give a press briefing at 3 p.m.

Click “Like” if You Hate America and Love Socialism

Written on April 7, 2012 by Chris Gadsden

Ok, a funny thing happened when my last article ran. Think Obama is attacking the Church? Watch what the other hand is doing covered my realization that obama’s attack on religion by way of his obamacare contraception mandate was really a super-sneaky way to force religious entities to stop offering health care entirely, thus forcing millions of new individuals into his socialized medicine scheme. It would be a win/win for him as he attacks religion and puts millions more individuals into a new nannystate program.

Anyway, as I always try to do, I posted a link on my Facebook page about the new article, stating my friends should check it out. I simply wrote My latest article centering on an unreported aspect of obama’s attack on our religion and then provided a link to the article at Patriot Update. My intention was to simply touch upon Obama’s recent attack on all men and women of sincere religious faith in the U.S. Pretty simple, huh? I guess not, as a “friend” decided to attack me after apparently just reading my description line and the title of the article. The ensuing tit-for-tat “debate” was rather amusing but, upon reflection, it provided a sad and sobering realization for me.

Moses was a Muslim who brought “the Muslims of the Children of Israel out of Egypt,” according to a lecture on official Palestinian Authority television. The lecture also referred to the subsequent Israeli conquest of the land of Israel as the “first Palestinian liberation … of Palestine.”

The report of such propaganda comes four days before the start of the Jewish festival of Passover, which commemorates the story of the Exodus in which the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt.

Paul Ryan: I‘d ’Consider’ a Vice Presidential Run

Paul Ryan: Id Consider a Vice Presidential Run

CBS – Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Sunday he “would consider” running in the vice presidential slot on the 2012 Republican ticket, though is “so focused” on his current job that it’s “not even” in his mind.

Ryan, chair of the House Budget Committee, unveiled a budget plan this week that has been praised by GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney — and been dubbed the “Romney-Ryan budget” by top Obama administration adviser David Plouffe.

“I’m so focused on my job in Congress. If I wanted to be president or vice president so badly I would have run for president. I don’t — so I didn’t,” Ryan said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Still, Ryan wouldn’t entirely close the door on the No. 2 spot when pressed by host Norah O’Donnell.

“I would consider it but it’s not even something in my mind because it’s a decision someone else makes at a later time,” he said. “It’s a bridge I haven’t gotten close to having to cross so in the meantime I think it’s important to do my job.”

The JOBS Act and the Maxine Waters Test

American [Spectator.org]

By on 3.19.12 @ 6:08AM

Key Senate Democrats do a job on small business startups that even Maxine Waters and Barney Frank support.

Call it the Maxine Waters test of political moderation. Late last week, this test was failed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), and Sens. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), Carl Levin (D-Mich.), and Jack Reed (D-R.I.).

They comprise, as Politico writes, “a chorus of Democratic senators… raising objections to a bill designed to help small businesses — throwing bumps in the road to passage of the legislation that had sailed through the GOP-led House and won President Barack Obama’s endorsement.” And this bill, the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, also won the endorsement of 158 House Democrats who voted “aye” on Mar. 8, including Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.)

Two weeks ago, Fox News reported that President Obama held statistically significant leads over his possible Republican opponents in a series of swing state polls.  Today, hope and change:

In the poll, Obama lags the two leading Republican rivals in the 12 states likely to determine the outcome of a close race in November:

•Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum tops Obama 50%-45% in the swing states. Nationwide, Santorum’s lead narrows to 49%-46%.

•Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney edges Obama 48%-46% in the swing states. Nationwide, they are tied at 47% each.

The battleground states surveyed include Michigan — where Tuesday’s primary has become a critical showdown between Romney and Santorum — as well as Ohio and Virginia, which vote next week on Super Tuesday. The other swing states are Colorado, Iowa, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Obamacare Mandate says Pregnancy is a Disease [Reader Post]

[FloppingAces.net]

February 23rd, 2012 at 6:00 am

Once Barack Obama said that babies were a punishment:

“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.

But now we learn that in Obamacare, pregnancy is not simply a punishment, it is a disease.

Covering contraception is cost neutral since it saves money by keeping women healthy and preventing spending on other health services,”

Preventing this “disease” is supposed to save big money.

Democratic chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz: “[Contraception costs] about $700 a year. That’s real money.”

Typical of democrats, something is provided for “free” at someone else’s cost.

Privately, however, insurers say there’s nothing “free” about preventing unwarranted pregnancies. They say the mandate also covers costly surgical sterilization procedures, and that in any case even the pill has up-front costs.

“Saying it’s revenue-neutral doesn’t mean it’s free and that you’re not paying for it,” an industry source told The Hill.

Doctors still have to be paid to prescribe the pill, drugmakers and pharmacists have to be paid to provide it – and all that money has to come from insurance premiums, not future hypothetical savings, the source said.

MSM Looks For Any Reason To Declare Tea Party Dead [Not gonna happen!]

TEA PARTY IS ALIVE AND WELL, THANK YOU.  YOU LIBERALS HAVE AWAKENED A SLEEPING GIANT!
“The tea party has dispersed,” Gloria Borger proclaimed on CNN after the Romney victory in Nevada.

Huh? what does that mean?

She concludes, as many in the Activist Old Media have, that a Romney victory in Nevada is a defeat for the tea party.

My conclusion; the media is looking for any reason, any reason, to declare the tea party dead. Plus, a few recent polls show that Romney actually is getting tea party support.

The Super Bowl is a big game so that means the tea party is dead. There is snow in Denver, so the tea party is dead. As long as you say the tea party is dead, you have a spot on a panel with the Activist Old Media.

It just amazes the media that Mitt Romney can run away with a state like Nevada, with a prominent tea party contingent (albeit for the first time in the primaries; it’s too early to say it’s a trend), so they conclude the tea party must be dead.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

This week will bring the Conservative Political Action Conference to Washington, D.C., one of the largest gatherings of conservative activists nationwide. CPAC has long been the target of liberal ire, but this year, the AFL-CIO is planning a sort of “Occupy” protest. As LaborUnionReport documents:

[U]nion bosses and their adopted #OccupyDC progeny appear to be planning to disrupt and lay siege to the conservative conference… According to the AFL-CIO’s Washington DC Metro Council website, “Actions are currently being planned for noontime andafter work on Friday, February 10.”

Townhall will be there as a cosponsor of the event, and we’ll absolutely bring any breaking news about union goons attempting to disrupt the proceedings straight to you. Seems strange that after their disastrous attempt to disrupt the Americans For Prosperity Summit that the union goons would try again, but I suppose the Left have always been slow on the uptake. US Intel Chief: Iran Ready to Strike America In Terror Attacks

[TheBlaze.com]

The U.S. intelligence community believes that Iran is prepared to launch terrorist attacks inside the United States in response to perceived threats from America and its allies, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the Senate Tuesday morning in an open hearing.

US Intel Chief: Iran Ready to Strike America In Terror AttacksIn prepared testimony given to the U.S. Select Committee on Intelligence, Clapper stated than an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador to the United States shows a shift in Tehran’s strategy towards a willingness to plot and conduct attacks within the U.S.

Director Clapper said, according to the Washington Post, that Iran’s disrupted alleged assassination plot:

“shows that some Iranian officials — probably including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived U.S. actions that threaten the regime.”

Clapper added that “We are also concerned about Iranian plotting against U.S. or allied interests overseas.”

The spy chief’s concerns come amidst increased saber rattling from Iran with regard to the Strait of Hormuz, and tightening U.S. sanctions aimed at curbing the Iranian nuclear program.

Clapper’s testimony regarding the threat from Iran was delivered as part of the U.S. intelligence community’s annual overview of the primary national security challenges facing the United States. His testimony also singled out cyber-related threats, and the weakened but persistent threat Al Qaeda and its affiliates pose to the U.S. (TheBlaze.com)

Palin: It’s Now the GOP Establishment vs. the Tea Party

[FrontPorchPolitics.com]

 January 28, 2012 by

palin

We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. The Republican establishment which fought Ronald Reagan in the 1970s and which continues to fight the grassroots Tea Party movement today has adopted the tactics of the left in using the media and the politics of personal destruction to attack an opponent.

We will look back on this week and realize that something changed. I have given numerous interviews wherein I espoused the benefits of thorough vetting during aggressive contested primary elections, but this week’s tactics aren’t what I meant. Those who claim allegiance to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment should stop and think about where we are today. Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, the fathers of the modern conservative movement, would be ashamed of us in this primary. Let me make clear that I have no problem with the routine rough and tumble of a heated campaign. As I said at the first Tea Party convention two years ago, I am in favor of contested primaries and healthy, pointed debate. They help focus candidates and the electorate. I have fought in tough and heated contested primaries myself. But what we have seen in Florida this week is beyond the pale. It was unprecedented in GOP primaries. I’ve seen it before – heck, I lived it before – but not in a GOP primary race.

Google’s New Plan: Annoy You Into Compliance

[Gizmodo.com]

Posted: January 28, 2012

Google Plus users just got a pretty horrible new feature: search your name, and instead of finding out information about yourself, you’re asked to provide it. Quite simply, Google doesn’t want to give you information until you give it information. Guh.

As Drew Olanoff of The Next Web noted today, if you are using Google’s new Search Plus your World (which is on by default) instead of giving you the results you are looking for, a Google vanity search now prompts you to fill out the remainder of your Google Plus profile. It’s a clear example of Google prioritizing Plus over Search. It’s essentially allowing a social network to hijack your Search screen until you feed it personal data. Your normal results appear below the nag, but when I tried this myself, the prompt took over the entire window of my 13″ screen. Google is increasingly acting like an overbearing second grade teacher. If you don’t share, you can’t have any for yourself.

So what happens if you do try to “complete your profile?” Mine was nearly complete, at 85 percent. I filled out my university information and added a photo to my “scrapbook” (related: what the hell is my scrapbook and who can see it?) which were the only two missing fields in the “Update your profile” window. But that only took me to 95 percent. I tried editing my profile directly from within Google Plus itself, dutifully filling out each and every field, including the really intrusive stuff like my relationship status and “who are you looking for?” (I’m just looking for myself!)

I’m still only at 95 percent. I have no idea what I need to do to get to 100. Maybe it’s some philosophical lesson that represents the fundamental loneliness of the human condition by never allowing you to reach completion. I have no idea.

GEORGE SOROS SAYS OCCUPY WALL STREET MOVEMENT WILL TURN VIOLENT [Spooky Dude]

[LibertyNewsOneline.com]

Aaron Klein – WorldNetDaily – Posted January 26, 2012

Billionaire George Soros is predicting protests by Occupy Wall Street will turn violent, while warning the U.S. financial system may collapse.

In an interview with Newsweek writer John Arlidge, Soros reportedly said riots on the streets of American cities are inevitable.

“‘Yes, yes, yes,’ he says, almost gleefully,” when asked about the prospect of Occupy turning violent, writes Arlidge.

Soros claimed the riots will “be an excuse for cracking down and using strong-arm tactics to maintain law and order, which, carried to an extreme, could bring about a repressive political system, a society where individual liberty is much more constrained, which would be a break with the tradition of the United States.”

“At times like these, survival is the most important thing,” Soros continued.

“I am not here to cheer you up. The situation is about as serious and difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros said. [Remember, Soros thinks he's god!]

Two Tech Executives Get So Drunk on Plane That it Forces Crew to Turn Flight Around

[TheBlaze.com]

Because Research in Motion’s stocks have fallen by 77 percent since the beginning of 2011, and because they’ve been getting trounced by competitors in the tablet market, one would assume that executives working for the company would at least try to represent it well.

This is not the direction stocks are supposed to head.

One would expect that responsible and professional executives would try to calm investors who have been shaken up by failing stocks and rumors of bankruptcy by reinforcing confidence in the brand. Building and promoting a likeable public image would be a great place to start.

But then again, we are talking about RIM; nothing seems to be going right for them this year.

Allegedly, two Canadian RIM executives, George Campbell and Alexander Wilson, got incredibly inebriated and raucous on a flight from Toronto to Beijing, forcing the pilot to ground the plane in Vancouver, reports the Toronto Star.

Denver Occupiers fail in effort to occupy BlogCon11

[RedState.com]

Posted by Dan Spencer (Diary)  Friday, November 11, 2011

Nearly 200 Conservative bloggers were in the middle of a training session on data visualization when Occupy Denver launched their “surprise” effort to occupy the conference. The protest was a major fail in no small part because the Occupiers announced the “surprise” occupation attempt on Twitter.

When the Occupiers showed up they were met at the conference room door by dozens of cameras wielded by experienced bloggers.

The attempted failed occupation attempted after a brief and very one sided debate. The Occupiers were outnumbered, outclassed and totally incapable of articulating what was the point of their so-called protest. After about five minutes of chaos the Occupiers retreated from the conference facility with only one of their sorry group being arrested.

You can watch raw video of the chaos below:

Reason.tv: Will the Ohio Healthcare Freedom Amendment End Obamacare?

by Reason TV

“If you’re going to take away liberty and property, there has to be some sort of due process involved,” says Chris Littleton, the head of Ohioans for Healthcare Freedom and a Tea Party leader in the Buckeye state. “In this case, as citizens, we feel that those things are fundamentally inhibited and we want the Supreme Court to hear our case on this.”

Littleton’s group is pushing an upcoming ballot initiative that would amend the state constitution to prevent citizens’ involuntary participation in any health-insurance system. The U.S. Supreme Court is widely expected to issue a ruling on the constituationality of what’s known as the “individual mandate” in Obamacare and Littelton thinks passage of the Ohio Healthcare Freedom Amendment will give his state unique legal standing: “This is citizen-initiated, which is very unique. If it passes, Ohio will be the only state that’s done something like that.” While most challenges to the individual mandate revolve around the limits of Congress’ commerce clause powers, Littleton believes the amendment will activate due process and 10th Amendment considerations.

I have accepted their offer to speak at the “Occupy” protest in San Diego.

Santorum, Gingrich, Bachmann and Huntsman Vow Boycott of Nevada Over Primary Calendar Standoff

[FoxNews.com]

by Fox News | October 13, 2011

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann have joined former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in pledging to boycott the Nevada caucuses because the state is daring New Hampshire to consider scheduling its first-in-the-nation primary in December.

The pledge was prompted by New Hampshire activists upset over Nevada for scheduling its caucus on Jan. 14, earlier than New Hampshire’s planned primary, traditionally the first in the nation. New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner wants Nevada to move its primary back.

“Nevada’s move has potentially forced the other early states to have primary’s near Christmas – and that destroys the primary process,” Santorum said. “I firmly believe that we must protect New Hampshire, the other early primary states and the proven presidential primary process.

“To be clear, I will not campaign in Nevada nor participate in the Nevada caucus if it doesn’t move its primary date.”

Gingrich made a similar pledge earlier.

Peace in our time: Obama to address Congress on jobs the day after GOP debate

Coming soon to a left-wing blog near you: “He caved again.”

And no, I’m not really joking about that. Check out the reactions from liberals Peter Daou and Brian Beutler. So much heart-ache.

Here is a statement from White House Press Secretary Jay Carney:

“Today, the President asked to address the Congress about the need for urgent action on the economic situation facing the American people as soon as Congress returned from recess. Both Houses will be back in session after their August recess on Wednesday, September 7th, so that was the date that was requested. We consulted with the Speaker about that date before the letter was released, but he determined Thursday would work better. The President is focused on the urgent need to create jobs and grow our economy, so he welcomes the opportunity to address a Joint Session of Congress on Thursday, September 8th and challenge our nation’s leaders to start focusing 100% of their attention on doing whatever they can to help the American people.”

Home prices in 20 U.S. cities dropped in March to the lowest level since 2003, showing housing remains mired in a slump and is threatening to hurt the nation’s economic recovery. The S&P/Case-Shiller index of property values in 20 cities fell 3.6 percent from March 2010, the biggest year-over-year decline since November 2009, the group said today in New York. In the first quarter, housing prices dropped 4.2 percent, a new low that is likely to threaten the economic recovery. All of this data comes days after two disappointing economic reports. Last week, worsening gross domestic product and initial unemployment claims numbers topped what economists had expected. History Destined To Repeat Itself – While Media Holds Firm To Its Template

This is a big week in American history. 150 years ago Tuesday the first shots were fired in the Civil War. The media has been covering the commemorations of the historic battle of Ft. Sumpter that really wasn’t much of a battle at all, the Confederate soldiers from the south took less than two days to defeat the Union soldiers from the north.

I talked about this historic week with a media friend of mine and mentioned how difficult the sacrifices were in this nation at the time. I said, “Republican President Abraham Lincoln was nearly defeated by the Democrat who ran the Confederate States, Jefferson Davis.” First my friend questioned the political party of Davis, then he said, “Why do you always have to enter politics into this?” Hmm, the Civil War was rather political—so I took the occasion to point out how the media likes to ignore the politics when it doesn’t work to their favor, but love to enter politics when it suits their needs. I mentioned the tragedy in Tucson where the media made up its own politics to fit its template.

St. Petersburg, Russia – China and Russia have decided to renounce the US dollar and resort to using their own currencies for bilateral trade, Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin announced late on Tuesday.

Chinese experts said the move reflected closer relations between Beijing and Moscow and is not aimed at challenging the dollar, but to protect their domestic economies.”About trade settlement, we have decided to use our own currencies,” Putin said at a joint news conference with Wen in St. Petersburg.

The two countries were accustomed to using other currencies, especially the dollar, for bilateral trade. Since the financial crisis, however, high-ranking officials on both sides began to explore other possibilities.

The yuan has now started trading against the Russian rouble in the Chinese interbank market, while the renminbi will soon be allowed to trade against the rouble in Russia, Putin said.

“That has forged an important step in bilateral trade and it is a result of the consolidated financial systems of world countries,” he said.

Putin made his remarks after a meeting with Wen. They also officiated at a signing ceremony for 12 documents, including energy cooperation.

The documents covered cooperation on aviation, railroad construction, customs, protecting intellectual property, culture and a joint communiqu. Details of the documents have yet to be released.
