American Crossroads Ad Appeals to Women’s Brains and Pocketbooks, Not “Ladyparts”

Rattled by recent polling showing Mitt Romney drawing roughly even with President Obama among female voters, Democrats are making yet another hard play over “ladyparts.” American Crossroads is answering back with an ad blitz of their own, also targeting women. It seems conservatives view women as more than just uteruses. Weird, right?
This spot — which focuses on spending and debt — has $11 million behind it, and will air in swing states:

Obama Camp Concedes: Romney Will Raise More Cash Than Us
[Newsmax.com]

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney surged ahead of President Barack Obama in fundraising for the first time last month — and a senior Obama adviser concedes that Obama will be the first incumbent president to be
out-raised by his opponent.
Romney’s campaign and the Republican Party together raised more than $76 million in May, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission, while Obama and the Democrats brought in $60 million.
Obama campaign officials predict that Romney will also outdo Obama and the Democrats in June with a $100 million haul.
“I think Romney is going to continue to have big months,” an Obama campaign official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters. “Combine that with the Super PAC stuff, and we are going to be the first incumbent outspent. That’s clear.”
Senior advisers in the Obama campaign told The New York Times that Romney and groups supporting him will spend $1.25 billion on television advertising.
“Republicans are betting they can win this thing on the air,” one adviser said. “Make no mistake, we will be outspent.”
On Wednesday, Romney enjoyed what campaign officials described as his single best day of fundraising yet, taking in between $6 million and $8 million during a swing through Michigan.

A year before the 2012 election, the good folks at American Crossroads released a terrific new video featuring Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour to remind us of the importance of this presidential election.
In the video, Governor Barbour, talks about what a second Obama term would mean for America:
“[Obama’s] policies aren’t fixing our problems, they’re making them worse. And a second Obama term means making this malaise permanent. … We’re the greatest country on earth, and we can get America right again. To do that we have to win in 2012. … So come on now, let’s get this done.”
Barbour also calls for lowering, simplifying and stabilizing tax rates; cutting spending and putting a moratorium on new regulations; and keeping America’s military strong.
The Governor has it exactly right about the epic fail of Obama’s stimulus.
