“Gabe Sherman is Jayson Blair on steroids.” That’s one tough assessment of Gabriel Sherman, the over-eager reporter and from-a-great-distance biographer of Roger Ailes. Who said it? A well-placed source close to Fox News. And the source makes a very strong case.
Jayson Blair, of course, was the serially dishonest reporter for The New York Times who was fired, finally, in 2003.
Today, in the opinion of many, Sherman is following in Blair’s disastrous and disgraced footsteps. On December 17, under the headline, “Rupert Murdoch Wants Stricter Gun Laws After Newtown, But Fox News Doesn’t Get the Memo,” Sherman falsely claimed that Fox News had put out an “edict” against discussions of gun control in the wake of the Newtown, CT shooting. The next day, Sherman’s claim was knocked down here at Breitbart.com, among other news outfits.
Now, having been nailed for his incorrect story, Sherman is currently scrambling to save his reputation by enlisting his Fox-phobic allies in the MSM.
Washington, DC - In a just-released paper analyzing the Brennan Center for Justice`s role in minimizing the importance of election fraud across the nation, National Center for Public Policy Research Adjunct Fellow Horace Cooper concludes that the Brennan Center has not been telling the full story.
“Voter fraud and election mishaps in the U.S. are real, not isolated, problems, and notwithstanding the efforts of left-wing groups to minimize their impact, the American people are right to continue pushing their representatives for effective voter ID laws,” Cooper argues in “The Brennan Center is Wrong: Voter Fraud is a Real Threat to Every Citizen`s Constitutional Rights,” his latest National Policy Analysis paper on voter fraud.
“It is perfectly legal for the Brennan Center to take more than $7 million from socialist tycoon George Soros, but when you get that much support it says a lot about just how left-wing the Brennan Center is,” says Cooper.
Obama’s RIGGING THE VOTE–Outsourcing with George Soros! If this is true IT IS WRONG, and MUST BE STOPPED!
When the Spanish online voting company SCYTL bought the largest vote processing corporation in the United States, it also acquired the means of manufacturing the outcome of the 2012 election. For SOE, the Tampa based corporation purchased by SCYTL in January, supplies the election software which records, counts, and reports the votes of Americans in 26 states–900 total jurisdictions–across the nation.
As the largest election results reporting company in the US, SOE provides reports right down to the precinct level. But before going anywhere else, those election returns are routed to individual, company servers where the people who run them “…get ‘first look’ at results and the ability to immediately and privately examine vote details throughout the USA.” In short, “this redirects results …to a centralized privately held server which is not just for Ohio, but national; not just USA-based, but global.”

In a story about the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) accusing conservative Christian groups like the Family Research Council of “hate,” The Washington Post described the SPLC as a “civil rights organization.” But The Social Contract, a public policy journal, investigated the SPLC in a recent issue and found that it used “ritual defamation” as a weapon “to advance a far-left agenda and a device to raise more money from gullible liberals to add to its $200 million slush fund.”
The SPLC is a “slime machine” that has also targeted the Eagle Forum, the Heritage Foundation, Rush Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), and Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), The Social Contract says.
The “slush fund” reference is to the $200 million in “reserve funds” that its directors have invested “in hedge funds and offshore bank accounts in places like the Cayman Islands,” The Social Contract claims.
I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he’s led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? “Dreams of My Father” was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The “Audacity of Hope” followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a “communist with a small ‘c’” was the real author.
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley’s formidable political machine at his disposal.
Fox News is once again moving to the left, hoping to avoid left-wing attacks on its news operations and commentators. But the move risks alienating conservative viewers. The current controversy involves new Fox News contributor Santita Jackson, who lists the notorious Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr., as being among her personal “activities and interests” on her Facebook page.
Wright, who was Obama’s pastor for 20 years and baptized Obama’s children, became a major controversial figure during the 2008 presidential campaign when it became known that he blamed the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American foreign policy and claimed the U.S. manufactured the AIDS virus to kill black people.
The link on the Santita Jackson page, which promotes matters of personal interest to Ms. Jackson and other things she likes to do, directs people to Wright’s official home page.

For those who were dismayed by the President’s decision to nix the Keystone XL pipeline, you may think it was an effort orchestrated primarily from the White House. While that certainly was part of it, you may have noticed a rather prominent and very public campaign taking place to stop the project showing up in advertisements, mailings and less obvious whisper campaigns across the nation. Who pays for all of that?
The Daily Caller has a lengthy investigative piece out today which sheds a bit of light on the subject. In it, we find out that they have uncovered a presentation dating back several years where some well financed groups vowed to dump significant amounts of cash into bringing development to a screeching halt. And who was behind it? The Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
Coming up from the underdog, Senator Rick Santorum is gaining momentum like wildfire. Some people are calling him the new ‘frontrunner’. Check out this Google Trends chart from today, February 18, 2012. This is not a poll, but a significant chatter meter of how candidates are doing.
While polls, when properly calculated, are move scientific, it is obvious that all polling is not on the same page. We believe that there is some affecting of bias by the mainstream media. We have recently found out that Media Matters has been linked to access to the White House perhaps for the purpose of generating a ‘consistent’ front on all the networks, just like in the last election (2008).
By God, it’s not going to work this time. The American people know what you guys are doing. People like George Soros, David Brock, etc., are in bed with the Obama Administration to pull together the same ‘slick trick’ they did last time.
Not gonna work. This time we not only have the record of a failed president, but we have full knowledge of the intentions of this administration. We know that the job numbers are being cooked to look good on the surface, but in reality, we know that the real number much higher.
The ‘tax cut’ Congress passed is a bad idea. It’s not a tax cut, its taking money from Social Security receipts and calling it a tax cut. Why is it that Social Security has always been the victim of legislative robbery? We know that Social Security is funded by current, on-going tax receipts from Social Security taxing. Where is the money coming from to replace those funds?
It’s continuing to be obvious that President Obama is secretly and willingly trying to crash this economy. This is the worst ‘tax and spend’ administration since Woodrow Wilson! It’s even worse than the Carter administration. We need a REAL CONSERVATIVE. We believe Sen.Rick Santorum is that man to get this nation back in the direction it should be going.

Billionaire George Soros is predicting protests by Occupy Wall Street will turn violent, while warning the U.S. financial system may collapse.
In an interview with Newsweek writer John Arlidge, Soros reportedly said riots on the streets of American cities are inevitable.
“‘Yes, yes, yes,’ he says, almost gleefully,” when asked about the prospect of Occupy turning violent, writes Arlidge.
Soros claimed the riots will “be an excuse for cracking down and using strong-arm tactics to maintain law and order, which, carried to an extreme, could bring about a repressive political system, a society where individual liberty is much more constrained, which would be a break with the tradition of the United States.”
“At times like these, survival is the most important thing,” Soros continued.
“I am not here to cheer you up. The situation is about as serious and difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros said. [Remember, Soros thinks he's god!]
For the second time in a session that is only weeks old, Indiana House Democrats refused to show up for work on Tuesday, effectively delaying the passage of right-to-work legislation. The first delay was a three-day boycott that finished with Democrats coming back to the table to continue other legislative business. House Republicans expected to have a vote on the contentious right to-work bill after Democrat leader B. Patrick Bauer (known for vainly sporting a toupee) made public and private promises that his caucus would show up and participate in the legislative process.
But while Bauer and his fellow Democrats have been throwing temper tantrums and obstructing legislative business, other opponents of right-to-work legislation have been busy producing and distributing studies that purport to show how the reform would hurt Indiana’s economy. The several studies and reports reach a variety of conclusions. Some say that right-to-work would undermine private sector pension plans and others say that the reform will not have any meaningful impact on drawing job creators – especially those in the manufacturing sector – to the state. South Carolina’s success in attracting a new Boeing plant seems to go unmentioned.
Leading the way among those providing intellectual firepower and talking points for pro-union right to-work opponents is the Economic Policy Institute. EPI, a D.C. based think-tank that specializes in state-based research, has released a steady stream of information and research allegedly debunking the benefits of the reform and calling on Indiana policymakers to bend to union demands by killing the legislation.
EPI has been successful in influencing the debate in Indiana. Their work has been mentioned in news reports.
But make no mistake – there is an agenda behind the research produced by EPI. That agenda is George Soros and another far-left Chicago-based group, The Joyce Foundation.
According to IRS filings (summarized by a third-party here), the Economic Policy Institute received over $6.4 million in funding from the Open Society Institute between 2005 and 2009, the latest year for which documents are available. The Open Society Institute is the organization liberal billionaire George Soros founded to manage his investment in hyper-liberal infrastructure. The amount they gave to EPI makes EPI the 11th largest recipient of Soros money over that time period.
The Left was envious when Tea Party protests popped up in 2009, and now has countered with the Occupy Wall Street gathering in New York that has spread to other cities. While Tea Party enthusiasm became an effective force during the 2010 elections, #OWS will not have the same impact and here is why: The Top 10 Reasons Occupy Wall Street is a Joke.
1. Agenda: Unlike the clarity of the Tea Party message of smaller government, the Wall Street Occupiers have a potpourri of juvenile demands, from free college education and an annual living wage to “forgiveness of debt on the entire planet.” One protester mused that the solution was to do away with money altogether. Apparently these recipients of federal student loans have yet to take Economics 101.
2. Celebrities: The usual suspects of empty-headed progressive Hollywood stars are showing up at the Wall Street rally, many arriving by limo. Millionaires Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore and Roseanne Barr have all made appearances. Kanye West wore gold jewelry worth more than many protesters have made in their lifetimes. If they hadn’t noticed, these stars are part of the 1%.
3. Soros: The roster of George Soros-funded entities are aiding and abetting the Occupy movement. AdBusters, an anti-consumerist publication that sounded the initial call for the protests, is funded in part by Tides, a major recipient of Soros’ funding. Another Soros venture—MoveOn.org—has rallied support for the initiative. Soros, a billionaire several times over largely through currency manipulation, says he “sympathizes with their grievances” of those protesting corporate greed. (more…)
Protesters who have camped outside St. Paul’s Cathedral in central London for six days have forced the venerable cathedral to close to visitors for the first time since World War II, church officials said Friday.
The Dean of St. Paul’s, Rev. Graeme Knowles, said the decision to shut the doors of the iconic London church to visitors and tourists following the afternoon service was made with “heavy hearts” because of health and safety concerns.
A “Take Back the American Dream” three-day conference in Washington begins on Monday that features Van Jones, the disgraced former Obama Administration “Green Jobs Czar,” a Russian TV star, and a veteran of the Venceremos Brigades to Cuba who works for the AFL-CIO. Such is the nature of the modern progressive movement.
“October is going to be the turning point when it comes to the progressive fight back,” he went on. “We are a part of something called the American Dream Movement. We`re having a huge summit on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Come—you can go to rebuildthedream.com and find out more about it. We are going to build a progressive counterbalance to the Tea Party.”
There has been a concerted effort by George Soros, through the Tides Foundations, Media Matters and the Huffington Post, just to name a few, to destroy Rupert Murdoch and his Media Empire, News Corp and News Corporation, International. This reality makes us angry. Those of us who want to hear more than just “Lefty Media” from “progressive minds” that are coordinated by the LEFT agenda!
LONDON — James Murdoch says News International did the right thing in giving newly uncovered evidence to police.
He was responding to questions from lawmakers Tuesday over whether or not the company was aware of the contents of emails given to a law firm for review.
Murdoch says the company initially did not look further into alleged phone hacking in 2007 because police had said the case was closed.
He says that once more evidence emerged the company contacted the police and “did the right thing.”
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP’s earlier story is below.
LONDON (AP) — Rupert Murdoch sparred Tuesday with a committee of lawmakers over the phone-hacking scandal that has rocked his global empire, reeling from tough questioning before recovering his composure and rebuffing his interrogators with flashes of his legendary toughness.
The elder Murdoch banged his hands on the table and said the day was the most humble of his life, becoming flustered when committee members peppered with him questions and turning to his son James for some answers.
He recovered later in a tense question-and-answer session with lawmakers, pushing back with firm denials of wrongdoing.
Murdoch, 80, said he was “shocked, appalled and ashamed” at the hacking of the phone of a murdered schoolgirl by his now-shuttered News of the World tabloid. He said he had seen no evidence that victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attack and their relatives were targeted by any of his papers.
The chorus is growing for the IRS to scrutinize Media Matters’ tax-exempt status as the left-leaning media watchdog group wages a “war” on Fox News.
Recent questions about Media Matters’ activities stem from a campaign against Fox News that founder David Brock described in an interview this year as “guerilla warfare and sabotage.” By its own admission, the group is conducting “opposition research” against certain executives and producers. It also features a link on its website called “Drop Fox” which helps users contact advertisers and urge them to boycott the network.
Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has gone on the offensive against the media criticism group Media Matters for America and its website, referring to its “assassination” attempts on conservative figures and Fox reporters, and assailing its tax-exempt status. He called for the IRS to “revoke its status immediately,” reports ediaite.com.Former White House Counsel C. Boyden Gray, appearing on O’Reilly’s show, said an organization called the American Campaign Academy “run by Republican operatives” had been turned down for tax-exempt status by the IRS because of its obvious political slant, while on the other side of the spectrum, Media Matters is allowed to propagandize while not paying taxes.
O’Reilly points out that the group received its status under the President George W. Bush administration. Gray said it had presented itself at the time as an organization whose aim was “distributing materials that analyze media bias.” Eventually, though, it became “a war against [Fox News] and a media boot camp…. This is not what they said and not what they were given tax exempt status for.”
US meteorologists warned Thursday it would be a mistake to blame climate change for a seeming increase in tornadoes in the wake of deadly storms that have ripped through the US south.
“If you look at the past 60 years of data, the number of tornadoes is increasing significantly, but it’s agreed upon by the tornado community that it’s not a real increase,” said Grady Dixon, assistant professor of meteorology and climatology at Mississippi State University.
While driving my hideously fuel-inefficient SUV earlier this week, I noticed the warning light on my instrument cluster alerting me that my gas tank was perilously close to “MSNBC’s primetime ratings.” Since I have access to neither the private jet nor the chauffer-driven limousine Al Gore uses when he leaves one of his multimillion dollar mansions, I pulled into the next gas station.
That’s when I noted the price of a gallon of gasoline starts with a “3.” The last time gas prices were this high, Democrats assured us it was a direct result of George W. Bush’s cozy relationship with “Big and/or Foreign Oil.”
“Since George Bush and Dick Cheney took over as president and vice president, gas prices have doubled… (because) They are too cozy with the oil industry”
California’s senior Senator Barbara Boxer offered that clever canard back in April of 2006. At the time, gas prices at the Exxon station from which she staged her shriekfest were $3.10/gallon, just over 8 cents above where they are right now. And Boxer wasn’t the only Democrat assailing Bush over the plight of the people who pay her fuel bills. According to then-junior Senator from New York Hillary Clinton:
“We are one accident or one terrorist attack away from oil at $100 a barrel!”
Actually, if the terrorists are planning this sort of petroleum-based ploy, it may already be too late. As of Tuesday, the price of a barrel of crude is just under $90, nearly $25 higher than it was while Senators Boxer and Clinton were blaming rising gas prices on the former president. Industry experts predict the price will eclipse $100 within a year.
Radical billionaire George Soros has become the single most sinister force in American political life by leading a group of influential and powerful Americans to form a party within the Democratic Party.
This “shadow party” is undermining the War on Terror, destabilizing our nation and implementing radical change in America. America is under attack from within, and it’s up to us to stop them. That’s why Glen Beck recently featured my book The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and the Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party on his television show.
The Shadow Party gives the inside story of George Soros’ secret role as the financier and architect of the organizations that make up the left wing of the Democratic Party. As Glenn Beck noted, The Shadow Partyreveals how Soros used his billions to build a political attack machine that threatens our democracy by subverting its political, cultural, and financial institutions.
Lawyer for Assange says case against WikiLeaks founder is ‘persecution and not a prosecution’

FILE – In this Oct. 23, 2010 file photo, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange speaks during a news conference in London. Interpol on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 placed Assange on its most-wanted list after Sweden issued an arrest warrant against him as part of a drawn-out rape probe — involving allegations Assange has denied. The Interpol alert is likely to make international travel more difficult for Assange, whose whereabouts are publicly unknown. (AP Photo/Lennart Preiss, File)
The lawyer for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange charged Wednesday that his client is being persecuted by Swedish authorities whose accusations of sex crimes have prompted an Interpol alert for his arrest.
Swedish officials say they issued the international alert because the 39-year-old Australian has not made himself available for a meeting with prosecutors. Assange’s lawyer, Mark Stephens, said that Swedish officials have turned down repeated offers to speak to Assange.
Assange’s secret-spilling group has leaked a series of confidential U.S. intelligence and diplomatic reports this year, including the disclosure earlier this week of hundreds of classified State Department cables. U.S. officials have reacted with outrage, with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton accusing WikiLeaks of acting illegally and promising “aggressive steps to hold responsible those who stole this information.”
Clinton said she discussed the leak with her colleagues at a security summit in Kazakhstan and the revelations will not hurt American diplomacy. The leaks include unflattering descriptions of some foreign leaders and requests for U.S. diplomats to gather personal information on others. They have revealed Western concerns that Islamist militants might get access to Pakistan’s nuclear material and American skepticism that Islamabad will sever ties to Taliban factions fighting in Afghanistan. They also showed U.S. doubts over the abilities of Pakistan’s weak, unpopular civilian government
“I have certainly raised the issue of the leaks in order to assure our colleagues that it will not in any way interfere with American diplomacy or our commitment to continuing important work that is ongoing,” Clinton said. “I have not any had any concerns expressed about whether any nation will not continue to work with and discuss matters of importance to us both going forward.”
Several officials at the summit echoed her comments.
In response to the announcement that I would provide my analysis on ABC News from Arizona on election night, like-clockwork, from the George Soros-funded Media Matters to Keith Olbermann to Huffington Post to DailyKos to Talking Points Memo to Twitter (#boycottABCNEWS), the institutional left began on Friday to inundate ABC News with a wave of partisan objections and unfounded allegations against me.
Make no mistake: this is a calculated “astroturf“ intimidation campaign by the well-funded and frightened-for-their-political-lives institutional left to quash dissenting voices. It’s what they do.
What was ABC News’ response? Not standing up for free speech and the 1st Amendment. Not sticking by their original invitation. Not standing up for diversity of opinion.
Instead, on Saturday, ABC News issued an official statement that was immediately heralded as a victory by the anti-free speech forces on the left:
Since conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart announced on his website that he was going to be a participant in ABC’s Town Hall meeting at Arizona State University, there has been considerable consternation and misinformation regarding my decision to ask him to participate in an election night Town Hall event for ABC News Digital. I want to explain what Mr. Breitbart’s role has always been as one of our guests at our digital town hall event:
Mr. Breitbart is not an ABC News analyst.
He is not an ABC News consultant.
He is not, in any way, affiliated with ABC News.
He is not being paid by ABC News.
He has not been asked to analyze the results of the election for ABC News.
Mr. Breitbart will not be a part of the ABC News broadcast coverage, anchored by Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos. For the broadcast coverage, David Muir and Facebook’s Randi Zuckerberg will contribute reaction and response gathered from the students and faculty of Arizona State University at an ABC News/Facebook town hall.
Harvard Professor V.O. Key, Jr stated in his seminal work, “The Responsible Electorate”: “The most effective weapon of popular control in a democratic system is the capacity to throw a party from power.” That weapon is aimed at San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts who hijacked the peoples’ House.
There has been much said about the Tea Party blaming its views on right wing talk show hosts and political pundits. Many believe the Tea Party was formed by a Democratic Party and Administrations false conclusion that their success in the 2008 election was a vindication of their beliefs, the swing of the electorate response to the campaign positions taken, an indication of the intuitive mood of the people and, finally, as the respect it represents by an intelligent electorate.
Key concluded: “This narcissistic approach assumes it’s most repulsive form among election winners who have championed intolerance, who have stirred the passions and hatreds of people, or who have advocated causes known by decent men to be outrageous or dangerous in their long run circumstances.” The great Presidential scholar Richard Neustadt called it the pivotal nature of character to Presidential performance and James Barber of Duke University enhanced it with his classic book “Presidential Character”. They both concluded that it was character more than policy that determines Presidential performance.
GLENN: Now let me introduce you to who Elizabeth Warren is. Two months ago this is somebody that the president did not, did not appoint as the head of this new Consumer Protection Agency because if he did, he would have to go through the Senate confirmation process. So instead he made her, I guess, executive secretary and the only employee. So by default she’s the head. But he can just appoint her to that role.
Two months ago in July she spoke at an event with George Soros and Van Jones. She also spoke at a conference with Soros in March. She’s a big, big Soros person. She’s a hero of the progressives. Arianna Huffington calls Warren her hero. Michael Moore loves her. Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders urged Obama to pick her. Al Franken wrote a letter in support of her. She spoke at Netroots Nation conference 2010, Building a Progressive Economic Vision. She said then, “Remember Franklin Roosevelt faced his economic royalists. Remember it took him years to get his entire economic package into place. It was tough, but it paid off.” Andy Stern tweeted about her the other day. He said Chris Dodd is wrong: The Obama administration should do what is right for consumers and appoint Elizabeth Warren to enforce the new laws fairly. She’s not going to be enforcing the laws. She’s writing the laws. By the way, she spoke at SEIU at one of their conferences back in 2010, way back in 2010, in May of this year. The AFL CIO has also come out and endorsed Warren. Everyone seems to love Warren, including the attempt to get the Internet to be regulated. Just for your protection, of course. They said that if she’s not given real power, there will be hell to be paid. She apparently is someone that the left puts a lot of stock into. If you don’t know who she is, she’s been the one who has been overseeing TARP to make sure that’s been fairly given out. But you’ve seen her before well, you haven’t. But about ten Americans have seen her before. If they saw Capitalism: A Love Story by Michael Moore. Here’s what happened.
