Even the leftist tools exploited by Islamic jihad can see it is what it is. Considering how blinded they are by their own delusion, this is pretty remarkable.
This is the real “freedom flotilla.” We call on all free nations, free peoples, to support the Freedom from Jihad flotilla with boats, ships, funding, security and will. There should be a navy of Freedom from Jihad flotillas.
The Hamas flotilla is an act of war and should be condemned internationally. Is it any surprise that the Ground Zero mosque radical imam Rauf was a prominent member of the organization that financed the first jihad flotilla?

Pajamas Media has Elise Cooper’s excellent review of the AFDI documentary, Ground Zero Mosque, Second Wave of the 911 Attacks. For those of you in the Tampa/St. Pete area, we will be screening the film on Sunday at Muvico Baywalk (151 2nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, more here.) Spencer and I will be speaking and doing a Q&A after the film.
I will be screening the film this week at the University of Delaware and next week at the University of Ohio. Here’a an excerpt of the PJM review:

A 13-story mega-mosque is to be built in New York City approximately two blocks from the site of where the World Trade Center used to stand. Since Islamic extremists murdered 3000 people on September 11, 2001, Ground Zero is a cemetery and to many a sacred ground.
Because of the strong outcry against the mosque project, it has publicly morphed from a religious place of worship to a prayer center to a community center.
The Ground Zero Mosque: Second Wave of 9/11 Attacks powerfully starts by reminding Americans of the horrors of that day: clips of people jumping to their deaths as the World Trade Center became an inferno.
Geller strongly believes that “the 9/11 families took a hit for all Americans on that day when the Islamic extremists declared war on America.” She hopes viewers will be awakened as to why this mosque should never be built near Ground Zero, and to understand that if built, this mosque would be viewed by the jihadists as a triumph.
The movie intends to convey the magnitude of the jihadist threat. The landing gear from one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center was found in the Burlington Coat Factory building, where the mosque is to be built. A powerful statement from the movie: “Ground Zero becomes all about the mosque and no longer about the attack.” Geller wants Americans to understand: “[There] are thousands of mosques throughout the U.S. and hundreds of mosques in New York City. Why build it here?”

Like a junkie without a fix, the radical Ra-oof and his shifty wife, Daisy the Con despersate for attention, are threatening to build another Ground Zero mosque “islamic center” if the thug devleoper Gamal won’t put them back center stage. Craving the love of the dhimmedia, Rauf and the Con threaten to build a second mosque if Gamal doesn’t give them the limelight, again. that would mean both Gamal and Rauf/Daisy would be competing for jihad donations, taxpayer dollars, jiyza and public bonds.
Khan and Rauf wants to turn the “Ground Zero mosque” into a Ground Zero interfaith center, one focused on inter-religious dialogue and conflict resolution more than prayer.
That’s a bogus distinction without a difference.

So what can you tell us about the imam shakeup at the Cordoba Initiative/Park 51, the group behind the projected Ground Zero Mosque?
Geller: Jamie, the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan are out, and an imam from Washington, D.C., Abdullah Adhami, is in. More imams will be added later.
FP: What meaning do we derive from this?
Geller: First, it means that we won. We are declaring victory. It seems clear that Rauf had to go because he had become a liability to the taqiyya project of the Ground Zero mosque. And that is because of the light we shed on his true beliefs and allegiances. Rauf snagged more than $2 million in public financing to renovate low-income apartments he owns in New Jersey. He took the money and never made the repairs, forcing good people to live with vermin and dilapidation. Slumlord Rauf is also a prominent member of the Perdana organization, a leading funder of the flotilla launched against Israel by the genocidal Islamic terror group, IHH. He has made extreme statements like “the United States has more Muslim blood on its hands than al-Qaeda has on its hands of innocent non-Muslims.”
Saudi King Interested in Moving Ground Zero Mosque to Defunct Hospital, NYPost Reports

A New York lawyer with ties to the Saudi royal family claims the desert kingdom’s King Abdullah might want to move the controversial ground zero mosque to an Islamic cultural center he would build on the site of a shuttered Manhattan hospital. According to attorney Dudley Gaffin, the king also would pay to reopen most of the hospital units that closed when St. Vincent’s Medical Center filed for bankruptcy in April, sources told the New York Post.
Gaffin is floating the possibility to gauge community reaction, the New York Post reported Sunday in a story it labeled as an exclusive.
“He’s asking what it would take to put in a bid,” the Post quoted a community leader who did not want to be identified as saying. “He says the king wants to do this as a PR move — to save the hospital and move the mosque away from the World Trade Center site. He wants to show that Muslims can do good works.”
The 87-year-old king is recovering from back surgery at another Manhattan hospital.

Saudi Prince Backs Moving Planned NYC Mosque

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates– A Saudi prince who has aided the imam spearheading a proposed Islamic center near New York’s ground zero is appealing for another site not associated with the “wound” of the Sept. 11 attacks, a report said Thursday.
In interview excerpts published by the Dubai-based Arabian Business magazine, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was quoted as saying that moving the planned mosque and other facilities would respect the memory of those killed in the 2001 attacks and allow American Muslims to choose a more suitable location.
The comments are reportedly the prince’s first public views on the dispute, which has stirred street protests and fiery debates between religious and political leaders over America’s freedom of worship versus the lingering anger over the 9/11 attacks.
Prince Alwaleed’s Kingdom Foundation has contributed to the group run by New York’s Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, but said he has given no funds to the planned center.
Prince Alwaleed urged the backers of the proposed Islamic center not to “agitate the wound by saying, ‘We need to put the mosque next to the 9/11 site.”‘

What a pair, the extremist slumlord and the deadbeat mug. Sort of fits perfectly with the idea of the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque, doesn’t it? No decent human being would consider such a stab in the eye.
The thug El-Gamal, developer of the Ground Zero mosque, is a deadbeat. Taxes and now loans. Mr. $150 million dollar mosque man, who was evicted from his office for non-payment of rent, has another big debt he skipped out on, an unrepaid loan. Back in August, I posted that the thug El-Gamal hadn’t paid his taxes. He owed $224,270.77 in back property tax on the site, and failed to pay its half-yearly bills in January and July, according to the city Finance Department.
That default is a violation of El-Gamal’s lease with Con Edison, which owns half of the proposed building site on Park Place. El-Gamal owns the other half but must pay taxes on the entire parcel.
The lease agreement, obtained by The Post, specifies that El-Gamal’s company pay taxes on the property and submit receipts to Con Ed.
The utility said it would have to review any possible lease violations.
Perhaps the thug El-Gamal should stop menacing moderate Muslims who oppose his triumphal mosque at Ground Zero and start paying his bills. Can say debtor’s prison? Just add it to his rap sheet.
Mayor Gloomberg ought to be ashamed of himself. He has this lowlife to Gracie Mansion for dinner. Got that?
More Trouble for Mosque Man NY Post (hat tip Davida)
The money woes keep growing for a developer of the Ground Zero mosque.
Valley National Bank is suing Sharif El-Gamal and his real-estate company, Soho Properties, seeking $95,778 plus interest for an unrepaid loan. The firm took out a $100,000 line of credit, guaranteed by El-Gamal, from the bank in 2008, but defaulted in early 2009, according to court papers. A spokesman for El-Gamal declined to comment yesterday.
El-Gamal moved from the firm’s offices in September after his landlord initiated eviction proceedings over $39,000 in back rent.
He also failed to pay his city taxes in January and July, but agreed to a payment plan in September for $270,000, including interest.
El-Gamal has been a leader in the controversial proposal to build a mosque and community center on Park Place, two blocks from the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Quran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?
At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.
Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”

Rome, 27 August (AKI) – Mosques in Italy will not receive a share of income tax revenue the Italian government allocates to religious faiths each year. Hindu and Buddhist temples, Greek Orthodox churches and Jehovah’s Witnesses will be eligible for the funds, according to a bill approved by the Italian cabinet in May and still must be approved by parliament.
Until now, the government had earmarked 8 percent of income tax revenue for Italy’s established churches. The great majority of these funds go to the Catholic Church, although if they wish, individual tax payers may elect to give the money to charities and cultural projects instead.
The head of COREIS, one of Italy’s largest Muslim groups, Yahya Pallavicini, said he was bitter that Islam had been denied the revenue from Italian income tax.
“Work should be begun on legally recognising those moderate Muslims who have for years shown themselves to be reliable interlocutors who are free of and fundamentalist ideology,” he said.
Islam is not an established religion in Italy and there is only one official mosque in the country, Rome’s Grand Mosque. Politicians from the ruling coalition cite radical imams, polygamy and failure to uphold women’s rights by Muslims immigrants as obstacles to recognising Islam as an official religion in Italy.
Until now, only the Catholic Church, Judaism and other established churches including Lutherans, Evangelists, Waldensians and 7th-day Adventists have received the income tax revenue from the Itallain government.

Good article by Roger L. Simon on the term “Islamaphobia” that is being bandied around a lot lately over the Ground Zero Mosque:
Along with “progressive” (a word that should be restricted to poker), “Islamophobia” is one of the more maddening propaganda constructs of our time. Orwell could not have done better.
Of course we all know what a phobia is – an irrational fear. It comes from the Greek phobos, meaning “fear” or “morbid fear.” Common ones are acrophobia (heights) and agoraphobia (crowds).
With very minor exceptions, I have seen little irrational fear of Islam in our society. What I have seen is a lot of serious and justifiable dislike of the religion for its ideology – notably its heinous treatment of women and homosexuals and its opposition to the separation of church and state, all codified by its all-encompassing Sharia law that seeks to legislate all facets of existence while instituting a global caliphate.
Nevertheless, soi-disant liberals and progressives or whatever they want to call themselves accuse those who dislike Islam for those reasons of irrational fear.

According to a recent Time magazine poll, 61 percent of Americans now oppose building Park51. Geller says the notion that she has single-handedly instigated the opposition is absurd.
“I think it’s grossly unfair and condescending to the American people, as if they are lemmings and can’t think and feel for themselves,” she said in an interview. “I don’t have that kind of influence.”
Before she got into blogging and advocacy, Geller spent nearly a decade at the New York Daily News, starting as a financial analyst and making stops in the advertising and marketing departments. Later, Geller was associate publisher of The New York Observer for five years, she said.

Is another (non-alcoholic) beer summit in order? Perhaps this time to discuss the controversial plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero? That’s what one lawyer joined lawmakers in suggesting Sunday in a fiery exchange on America’s News Headquarters. Brett Joshpe, an attorney with the American Center for Law and Justice, says opposition to the planned Cordoba House has been mischaracterized and hijacked by politics. Joshpe’s organization has filed a lawsuit against the New York City Landmarks Preservation Committee for declining to grant landmark status to the proposed site.
“This is not about Islamaphobia,” he said. “This is deliberately provocative and inflammatory….If the president wants to show some leadership on this issue, rather than taking a stance and then backtracking from it, I think the president should invite both sides to the White House to sit down and discuss this.”
The proposed project is a 13-story, $100 million Isamic center that would be built just two blocks from Ground Zero and include a mosque, a 500-seat auditorium, a swimming pool and a gym. The plan has prompted both protest and support from the New York City community in recent weeks.

Brava to Governor Palin for standing up and speaking out against this profoundly insensitive and egregious attack on the American heart. Obama has sealed his fate and shown himself to the American people.
Worse still for his party, but good for the American people, every Democrat now has to come out from his or her hiding place and state a position on Ground Zero mega mosque.
Legitimate Questions for the PresidentMr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive “cross-cultural engagement” and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven’t they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren’t you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson’s generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven’t they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as “hallowed ground”? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

Question: Many of the political Jihadist Islamic movements are talking about an Islamic Caliphate based on the prophet’s approach. Can we accomplish this today?
Abdul Rauf: The challenge I was referring to is this; how do we call for the principles and standards that the prophet (peace be upon him) used to build the Islamic state in Medina. The challenge we have today is how do we accomplish this while keeping the prophet’s methodology in our current changing times. This challenge was an issue that the scholars and Caliphs had to face throughout the Islamic history, which resulted in the creation of several Islamic schools of thought with multiple views that are viewed equally.
So the question in our era throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians that an Islamic state can be established in more than just in a single form or mold; it can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of [Islamic] Shariah that are required to govern. It is known that there are sets of standards that are accepted by [Muslim] scholars to organize the relationships between government and the governed.
Question: So we understand that separation of religion from state, that is, it depends on the Muslim governors that so long they were spreading Islam and justice… but when the rulers are ruling under traditional laws contrary to Islamic laws, what then should the Islamic institutions do?
Abdul Rauf: A time after the prophet (peace be upon him) arose certain new conditions that required the governors to institute new laws so long they do not conflict with the Quran and the Sunna that were Shariah compliant as such followed in traditional customs. So in our modern era, governments that want to ensure the new laws as to not contradict Shariah rules—so they create institutions to ensure Islamic law and remove any that contradict with Shariah.

Cordoba House is neither at Ground Zero, nor a mosque. Apparently being two blocks away is not enough distance from “hallowed ground”. As though the proposed Islamic Center that will serve not just Muslims but the entire NYC community in lower Manhattan had anything to do with the events of 9/11.
