God is most great, sang the lieutenant commander and Islamic leader, in Arabic, as iftar — the end of the daily fast began.
Uniformed military personnel, civilians and family members faced Mecca and knelt on adorned prayer rugs chanting their prayers in quiet invocation to Allah.
The “ground zero mosque” story seems to be dying down, but nothing lays bare the absurdity of what we’ve just lived through quite so much as this Washington Times story, quoted above, from 2007.
Yes, Muslims have infiltrated the Pentagon for their nefarious, prayerful purposes — daring to practice their religion inside the building where 184 people died on Sept. 11, 2001. They haven’t even had the sensitivity to move two blocks, let alone a mile, away from that sacred site.
The “desecration” began shockingly soon after the attacks. Cox reported in October 2001:

Total capitulation. First came the complete purge of all truth-telling about Islam and jihad from FBI training materials, and now this: the complete surrender of oversight over agent training to groups linked to those who wish in their own words to work toward “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.” In a sane world, those responsible for this would be removed from office, if not tried for treason.
FBI officials say they are willing to consider a proposal from a coalition of Muslim and interfaith groups to establish a committee of experts to review materials used in FBI anti-terrorism training.
The coalition raised the idea during a Feb 8 meeting with FBI Director Robert Mueller, who met with the groups to discuss pamphlets, videos and other anti-terrorism training materials that critics say are either Islamophobic or factually incorrect.
So apparently material that is “Islamophobic” but factually correct is likewise verboten: in other words, truth and accuracy do not appear to be relevant criteria.

They say one can tell a lot about people by the company they keep. If that adage is true, what does the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) endorsement of Occupy Wall Street — and the organization’s choice to conduct Friday “Jummah” prayers in Zuccotti Park — tell us about both CAIR, and, the Occupy protesters?
An official invitation issued by CAIR’s New York chapter tells members to show “solidarity” with “the 99%” by attending Friday prayers in Zuccotti Park at 1:00pm. CAIR’s stated goal in hosting the prayer service at OWS is to “expand the role of New York Muslims in the Occupy movement.”
A “sermon on social justice in Islam” is slated to be delivered my Imam Aiyub Abdul Baki — a supporter of the Ground Zero mosque.

When Did the Media Flip-Flop on the War(s)?
I sometimes wonder if the media thinks the public has a universal case of amnesia. Like we can’t remember what they were saying way, way back in the days when George W. Bush was president.
Bush was president right after Grover Cleveland, I believe.
You remember Bush, don’t you? The media hated the guy. They hated him because he started two wars. He started them because this guy named Saddam Hussein (who became nicer the more they hated Bush) picked a fight with Bush’s Daddy and it was basically that simple (oh, there was some oil mixed in there too, so you can pick either reason). There was also a Good War and a Bad War. Afghanistan was Good, Iraq was Bad.
Today the same people who hung on every word said by anti-war Cindy Sheehan during the Bush presidency can’t find Cindy anymore and there are only Good Wars.” We actually have three wars going on now and they are suddenly all good. One is kinetic, which means it just happened and nobody could help it or stop it. We certainly can’t blame anybody for it. Besides, nobody is really getting killed in this latest war (somewhere in Africa, I believe) because we don’t see them being killed on TV anymore. It’s tough to get video signals for those live shots out of Libya these days, and cameras don’t work well in the deserts of North Africa. There’s sand and all that stuff. You know what happened the first time you took a camera to the beach.

The media told us during the 2008 election that the world would love us if we elected Barack Hussein Obama to the White House. Certainly the Muslin world would adore us after we got rid of Evil Bush.
We were shown fabricated videos like these as proof that all we had to do was elect Dear Leader and we would have everything we wanted as Americans, we would have true value because others would love us.
Forget the fact here that it’s dysfunctional as a nation, or as an individual to always seek justification from others, this is just about the Promise of 2008.
Democrats and the Obama administration often like to say the media set unrealistic expectations on the young World Emperor, certainly the media continues its slobbering love for Dear Leader, but Obama also made this promise of global unity. He did it during his first speech in Cairo as President and during the campaign in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate. Obama declared himself a “citizen of the world” (whatever that means) and promised he would “remake the world.” Politico called it a “manifesto for the planet” and that he would “unite Christians, Muslims and Jews in a safer, more united world.”

Today, two men are standing trial for having honor murdered a female relative in Buffalo, New York and in Tucson, Arizona. The perpetrators are both Muslims—as are their victims.
An honor killing is usually a family conspiracy to commit murder against either a young daughter or against an older, married mother.

The time has come to question if Islam is protected under our First Amendment rights to freedom of religion. Yes, everyone in America has the right to freedom of religion, but Islam is not a religion. Religious faith is only a part of Islam. The rest is a socially engineered society with its own laws and customs that seriously conflict with American law.
Is Great Britain a religion because they have the Church of England? Of course not. Britain has an established charter, civil and criminal laws, and a society that respects those laws. Islam has the Qur’an that provides the governing charter, complete with laws, punishment, and social behavior for its people in addition to its religious teachings. If Islam is a religion, then Britain is also.
We must recognize that religion is only one aspect of Islam’s Qur’an. The rest of this charter advances ideas, social behavior, and laws that are in direct conflict with American and western laws and values. Teddy Roosevelt once said that to live in America, immigrants must have undivided loyalty to America and to no one else. How is that possible for Muslims who swear loyalty to Islam where their governing laws are found in the Qur’an?

I’m on vacation and trying to unplug but the news can make that hard. I just read the story about the Florida church planning to burn copies of the Koran.
What is wrong with us? It’s just like the Ground Zero mosque plan. Does this church have the right? Yes. Should they? No. And not because of the potential backlash or violence. Simply because it is wrong. The more I reflect on what happened on 8/28 the more I realize the amazing power of GOOD.
We must be the better person. We must be bigger than our problems. Bigger than the times in which we live. Burning the Koran is like burning the flag or the Bible. You can do it, but whose heart will you change by doing it? You will only harden the hearts of those who could be moved. None of those who are thinking about killing us will be affected, but our good Muslim friends and neighbors will be saddened. It makes the battle that they face inside their own communities even harder.
Let us rise above the current levels and elevate ourselves and our country. The only thing this act would prove is that you CAN burn a Koran. I didn’t know America was in doubt on that fact. Let’s prove to each other that while there are many things we can do, there are maybe many more things that we choose not to do.

Good article by Roger L. Simon on the term “Islamaphobia” that is being bandied around a lot lately over the Ground Zero Mosque:
Along with “progressive” (a word that should be restricted to poker), “Islamophobia” is one of the more maddening propaganda constructs of our time. Orwell could not have done better.
Of course we all know what a phobia is – an irrational fear. It comes from the Greek phobos, meaning “fear” or “morbid fear.” Common ones are acrophobia (heights) and agoraphobia (crowds).
With very minor exceptions, I have seen little irrational fear of Islam in our society. What I have seen is a lot of serious and justifiable dislike of the religion for its ideology – notably its heinous treatment of women and homosexuals and its opposition to the separation of church and state, all codified by its all-encompassing Sharia law that seeks to legislate all facets of existence while instituting a global caliphate.
Nevertheless, soi-disant liberals and progressives or whatever they want to call themselves accuse those who dislike Islam for those reasons of irrational fear.

Is another (non-alcoholic) beer summit in order? Perhaps this time to discuss the controversial plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero? That’s what one lawyer joined lawmakers in suggesting Sunday in a fiery exchange on America’s News Headquarters. Brett Joshpe, an attorney with the American Center for Law and Justice, says opposition to the planned Cordoba House has been mischaracterized and hijacked by politics. Joshpe’s organization has filed a lawsuit against the New York City Landmarks Preservation Committee for declining to grant landmark status to the proposed site.
“This is not about Islamaphobia,” he said. “This is deliberately provocative and inflammatory….If the president wants to show some leadership on this issue, rather than taking a stance and then backtracking from it, I think the president should invite both sides to the White House to sit down and discuss this.”
The proposed project is a 13-story, $100 million Isamic center that would be built just two blocks from Ground Zero and include a mosque, a 500-seat auditorium, a swimming pool and a gym. The plan has prompted both protest and support from the New York City community in recent weeks.

As the Central Illinois 9/12 Project has briefly written about in the past, one form of banking in which Shorebank is engaged is microfinance, especially in foreign countries. As this is not a type of finance that is well known to the general public, we will discuss briefly what microfinancing is, how it is used in conjunction with green initiatives and Sharia law, and how Shorebank is using this type of financing in their banking processes.
The Consultive Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) defines microfinance as simply “the supply of loans, savings, and other basic financial services to the poor.” These loans are generally relatively small, but carry with them a high interest rate due to costs incurred by defaulting on loans and the transaction costs that are disproportionate to the size of the loan. (The cost of manpower and other factors needed to make the loan are the same regardless of the size of the loan – thus for smaller loans, the percentage of these costs in relation to the amount of the loan is greater.) Specifically, the microfinancing industry enables people to receive loans when they would not otherwise be able to do so, whether due to poverty, lack of a bank account, inability to provide collateral, and/or inability to prove employment. In 2007, there were 873 microfinance institutions worldwide serving more than 133 million loan recipients.

Few people know that this giant crescent actually points to Mecca, or understand the religious significance of this orientation. JOS, Nigeria — Muslims attacked a Christian village in central Nigeria on Saturday, killing eight people with machetes and burning seven houses and a church in fresh religious violence, an army spokesman said.
The attack followed clashes in eastern Nigeria earlier in the week that also killed eight and left six mosques and a church burnt.
“It’s true eight people were killed,” Lieutenant Colonel Kingsley Umoh said.
An AFP correspondent saw the bodies, as well as the burnt houses and church in Mazzah village, near the city of Jos, where deadly religious clashes have occurred a number of times in recent months.
Umoh said Fulani Muslims entered Mazzah between 1:30 am and 5:00 am, shooting sporadically in the air to lure sleeping residents outside their homes before they were killed.
“Seven people were killed instantly with machetes while three others were seriously injured. One of them died on the way to the hospital,” he said.
He said troop reinforcements had been deployed to Mazzah, some 14 kilometres (nine miles) from Jos, the capital of central Plateau State, to prevent the violence from escalating.
The village was calm on Saturday afternoon, but some residents were seen leaving for Jos out of fears for their safety.
A senior state official, Gyang Pwajok, described the overnight attack on the mainly Christian village as an “act of terrorism”.
Plateau State lies in the so-called middle belt between the predominantly Muslim north and the mainly Christian south.

After the media feeding frenzy our pro-freedom bus ads created for Muslims in trouble, I thought you should know we received hundreds of emails from Muslims thanking us and added a good number of safe houses too.
I also thought you ought to have a look see at all of the convert to Islam ads that were running across the country.
Zomblog had the best recap of the convert to Islam ads that ran nationwide in a half a million dollar campaign. Where was all the hostile media then? Did they dare attack the Islamic supremacists that ran these dawah ads to convert the kuffir and the infidel? No they stayed quiet and subdued.
But SIOA’s little bus campaign made these spineless, gutless wonders go ballistic on me which just goes to show you two things. First, how sick and in trouble our society already is and that these bigots and supremacists advocate for the killing of apostates because that is the objective of the pro-freedom bus ads. To save lives. But the jihadists don’t like it so out from under their rocks come thire shills, slugs, worms, tools and useful idiots.

Persecution of Christians worldwide, particularly at the hands of Muslims, is a well-documented phenomenon despite the successful attempts by most major Western and American media organs to ignore it.
Persecution of Christians in the United States — a country where almost 80% of the population, some 240 million, is of that faith — is deemed, ipso facto, an absurdity by some and an undeniable fact by others.
